Antonio Rodriguez started his photography as a self-taught in his native Guatemala. During his studies in design and advertising he produced photo documentaries for NGOs in Central and South America. After moving to Spain, he attended several photography workshops and studied at Blank Paper Escuela in Madrid.
He uses photography as a means to better comprehend his surroundings as well as medium which allows him to explore the narrative qualities of the image as a thinking tool. His interest focuses mainly on exile as a permanent state of humanity, as well as the different possibilities to articulate memory. In his creative practice he combines his photography, researching in photo archives and its intervention.
